Pavel Nebolsin

Pavel was born to a musical family and studied music from
the young age. He became the laureate of Young Soloists Festival (1995) and Classic Heritage International Competition (1998). He graduated from Gnessin State Academy of Music in 2008. Pavel has received the Best Accompanist diplomas from the Russian Vocal Levko Competition (2008), the International Festival Modern Art and Education (Ruza, 2007), the International Antonin Dvorak Singing Competition
(Karlovy Vary, 2006), the Glinka International Vocal Contest.

He joined the Bolshoi Theatre's Young Artist Programme in October 2009 and became an in-house accompanist and repetiteur of the Bolshoi in 2011. Pavel has taken part in master classes given by such renowned musicians and music educators as George Darden (Metropolitan Opera), Lubov Orfenova, Antonello Allemandi, Eugene Nesterenko, Irina Bogacheva, Laura Claycomb, Richard Bado and many more.

Together with the participants of the Bolshoi Theatre's Young Artist Programme, he performed at the International Chaliapin Competition Voices of Plyos (2010).

He also took part in opera projects by Moscow Philharmonic Society: concert performances of Gounod's Roméo et Juliette and Bizet's The Pearl Fishers. In 2010 he played for the 3rd Levitan Music Festival in Plyos under direction of Alexei Goribol. In 2011 he performed at the Big Hall of Moscow Philharmonic Society with Anna Bonitatibus, Antonio Fogliani and Novaya Rossiya Symphony Orchestra.

In 2012, as a part of one-act ballet Dream of Dreams, Pavel Nebolsin performed Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No 2 on the new stage of the Bolshoi Theatre. Since 2013 Pavel has been regularly performing with the soloists of the Bolshoi abroad, including a recital with Eugene Nesterenko. In 2017 Pavel played for soprano Venera Gimadieva in her recital at Edinburgh Festival. And next year, again, for her Wigmore Hall debut in London. He has worked and performed with such conductors as Rozhdestvensky, Sinaisky, Sagripanti, Mazzola, Korchak. Pavel has received a special award from the trustee board of the Bolshoi Theatre for his contribution to the theatre's success. From 2017 he has been regularly working with Yusif Eyvazov and Anna Netrebko as a music coach and accompanist performing in Dubai, Monaco, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Hamburg.
